Banknote Ghana 5 Cedis, Celebrating 60 years of central banking in Ghana - 2017 - Serial AG

This commemorative banknote, with a face value of 5 cedis, was issued by Ghana in 2017. It highlights the 60th anniversary of the country's central bank. The banknote belongs to the AG Series.

On the front of the banknote is a full-face portrait of Dr. James Amman Kwegyir Aggrey. The coat of arms of Ghana is located in the center of the lower part of the banknote.

The back of the banknote features a representation of the FPSO Kwame Nkrumah ship, positioned in the center. A QR code is also printed on the banknote. When scanned, this code redirects to the page dedicated to the 5 cedis banknote on the Bank of Ghana website.

The banknote's watermark reproduces the portrait of Dr. Aggrey.

The banknote was printed by De La Rue. Its dimensions are 131 mm in length and 68 mm in width.
