This banknote from the Banque de l'Afrique Occidentale (B.A.O.) has a face value of 100 francs. It was issued in 1947 and bears the series Z.
On the obverse, there is a representation of a woman carrying a bowl of fruit. The inscriptions in Latin include "100 FRANCS BANQUE DE L'AFRIQUE OCCIDENTALE 100", "CENTS FRANCS", and "50 INSTITUT D?ÉMISSION DE L'A.O.F. ET DU TOG". We also read "SÉB. LAURENT FEC. A. CHAPON SC.", indicating the names of the artists involved in its creation. Auguste Chapon is identified as the engraver and Sébastien Laurent as the designer.
