Pièces issues de coffret
This numismatic set includes the complete series of euro coins issued by France in 2001, ranging from 1 cent to 2 euros. These coins come from sets specially designed for collectors, giving them a higher state of preservation than coins in general circulation.
Each coin has distinctive characteristics. The 1, 2 and 5 cent coins are made of copper-covered steel, displaying the portrait of Marianne, symbol of the French Republic, with the motto "Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité". The 10, 20 and 50 cent coins are made of Nordic gold alloy, representing the sower, an allegorical figure of rooting and generosity, revisited by Laurent Jorio.
The 1 and 2 euro coins are bimetallic. The 1 euro coin is composed of a cupro-nickel ring and a cupro-aluminum center, while the 2 euro coin consists of a cupro-aluminum ring and a cupro-nickel center. Both coins feature a stylized tree, a symbol of life and growth, designed by Joaquim Jimenez. All the coins bear the mint mark, as well as the engraver general's mark.
The year of issue, 2001, is engraved on each coin, testifying to their origin and historical value. This series represents a testament to France's entry into the euro zone and is a valuable addition to any numismatic collection.
