France will be hosting the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. To celebrate this event, the Monnaie de Paris is issuing a magnificent series of "JO Paris 2024" coins. The new 2 euro French commemorative 2022 is now available in a BE version. 

After Marianne, the face of these coins features the Genie throwing a discus overlooking the athletics stadium of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Arc de Triomphe can also be seen in the background, symbolising the city of Paris. The various symbols of the French Monetary Institute, the year of issue and the initials of the French Republic can also be found on the coin.  

Edge: striated and inscribed with a 2 followed by two stars, repeated six times, alternating right side up and down.
