From the end of the 19th century until the disappearance of the Annamite imperial institution in 1945, this entire period has been covered, including the most modest coins (zinc and brass sapeques) and the most prestigious ones (ingots, philong, and presentation coins in silver and gold). However, this topic has been considered broadly: in addition to strictly Annamite coins, the study also includes Annamite sapeques minted by the Colony in the name of the Emperor of Annam in 1920 and 1933.
