This 50 centime note was issued by the Rouen Chamber of Commerce in 1920. It is a replacement issue originally dating from 1918. The note is "double-sided" and features inscriptions in Latin.
On the front, we can read "VILLE DE ROUEN" and "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE ROUEN", followed by the year "1918" and the mention "Emission de remplacement" (Replacement Issue). The face value, "50 CENTIMES", is clearly indicated. The signatures of the Mayor and the President of the Chamber of Commerce also appear, accompanied by a serial number, here "n° 048.504". The name of the printer, "IMP. RICHARD, PARIS", is mentioned at the bottom.
The back of the note bears the inscription "Le Trésor a reçu la contre-valeur..." (The Treasury has received the equivalent value...), followed by a reference to the deliberations of the Municipal Council and the Chamber of Commerce of August 17, 1914.
The note incorporates a watermark representing bees. It was printed by Imprimerie Richard, located in Paris, France. Its dimensions are 118 mm in length and 79 mm in width. The product number associated with this note is N 314 747.
