This 50 centime banknote was issued by the Rouen Chamber of Commerce in 1918, in France. It is a replacement issue.
The obverse of the banknote features the inscriptions "VILLE DE ROUEN", "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE ROUEN", the year of issue "1918", and the face value "50 CENTIMES". It also includes the mention "Emission de remplacement" (Replacement Issue). The signatures of the Mayor and the President of the Chamber of Commerce are affixed. The name of the printer, "IMP. RICHARD, PARIS", is also mentioned.
The reverse of the banknote bears the inscription "Le Trésor a reçu la contre-valeur..." (The Treasury has received the equivalent value...) followed by the mention "(Délibérations du Conseil Municipal et de la Chambre de Commerce du 17 août 1914.)".
The banknote is watermarked with a bee motif. It was printed by Imprimerie Richard, located in Paris.
The dimensions of this banknote are 118 mm in length and 79 mm in width. All inscriptions are written in Latin characters.
