On the front of the banknote, you can read "VILLE DE ROUEN" and "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE ROUEN". The year of issue, 1918, is clearly indicated, as well as the face value "50 CENTIMES". The signatures of the Mayor and the President are present, accompanied by the serial number "n° 048.504". The mention "IMP. RICHARD, PARIS" indicates the printer responsible for the production of this banknote.
The back of the banknote bears the inscription "Le Trésor a reçu la contre-valeur..." followed by a reference to the deliberations of the Municipal Council and the Chamber of Commerce of August 17, 1914.
