This 50 centime banknote was issued by the Chambers of Commerce of Rennes and Saint-Malo on April 6, 1922. It belongs to Series F. The front of the banknote mentions the issuing institution, namely the Chambers of Commerce of Rennes and Saint-Malo. It also shows the face value of 50 centimes, as well as the signatures of the presidents of the chambers of commerce of Rennes and Saint-Malo.
The back of the banknote details the conditions for exchange and reimbursement of this denomination. It specifies that the banknote is valid in the districts of the chambers of commerce of Rennes and Saint-Malo and that it is exchangeable at the branch of the Banque de France in Rennes and its office in Saint-Malo. However, the Banque de France does not exchange for a sum less than 20 francs.
It also states that any holder of these bonds may demand reimbursement, even on sight, if they present them for a sum of at least 100 francs. If the sum is less than 100 francs, it can be supplemented by banknotes from the Banque de France. The Chambers of Commerce of Rennes and Saint-Malo are responsible for determining the liquidation period of the bonds, with a reimbursement period that cannot be less than five years from the date of issue of the first bonds.
The dimensions of the banknote are 114 × 70 mm. The watermark of the banknote represents bees.
