This 50 centime note was issued by the Chambers of Commerce of Rennes and Saint-Malo on August 25, 1915. It belongs to Series A and bears inscriptions in Latin.
On the front, one can read "CHAMBRES DE COMMERCE DE RENNES ET DE St MALO" in capital letters, followed by "EMISSION DU 25 AOÛT 1915". The face value "50 CENTIMES" is clearly indicated. The signatures of the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Rennes and the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Saint-Malo are also present.
The back of the note details the conditions of exchange and reimbursement. It is stipulated that the note is valid in the districts of the Chambers of Commerce of Rennes and Saint-Malo, and that it is exchangeable at the branch of the Banque de France in Rennes and its office in Saint-Malo. However, the Bank does not exchange amounts less than 20 francs. It is also specified that reimbursement may be required, even on sight, for a sum of at least 100 francs, which can be supplemented by banknotes from the Banque de France if necessary. The Chambers of Commerce of Rennes and Saint-Malo are responsible for determining the liquidation period of the bonds, with a redemption period of at least five years from the date of issue of the first bonds.
The note has a watermark representing bees. Its dimensions are 114 mm long and 70 mm wide.
