This 50 centime note was issued by the Chamber of Commerce of Moulins and Lapalisse, in the Allier department, France. It dates from May 12, 1916 and belongs to Series 135.
The front of the note features a red frame surrounding a light blue background. The inscription "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE MOULINS ET LAPALISSE (Allier)" is printed at the top, followed by the face value "50 CENTIMES". The Chamber of Commerce's coat of arms is positioned on either side of the main text. At the bottom of the note, in red, is the name of the printer: "IMP. B.ARNAUD _ LYON _ PARIS". It also includes the mention of the deliberation of October 13, 1916, as well as the signatures of the Treasurer and the President.
The back of the note displays the value "CINQUANTE CENTIMES" in numbers and letters. An important message is printed in the center, stating that these vouchers are exchangeable for banknotes of the Banque de France and must be presented for reimbursement before December 15, 1922, unless an extension of this deadline is decided.
The printer of this note is B. Arnaud, a company based in Villeurbanne, France, which was in operation from 1898 to 1990.
