Description

This 50 centime banknote was issued by the Limoges Chamber of Commerce in 1918, as part of the J series. It is a specific type of product issued in France during this period.

The obverse of the banknote features the inscription "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE LIMOGES" in capital letters, indicating the issuing institution. The face value, "50 CENTIMES", is also clearly visible. The banknote bears the series designation "série J" as well as a unique identification number, here "29322". The signatures of the President, or his delegate the Vice-President, and the Treasurer are affixed, authenticating the banknote.

The reverse of the banknote contains an important clause regarding its validity. It stipulates that the banknote "must be presented for reimbursement before January 1, 1923", which gives an indication of its limited validity period. The name of the printer, "IMP. P. DUMONT A LIMOGES", also appears on the reverse, identifying the printing company responsible for its production.

The banknote's watermark depicts bees, a security feature integrated into the paper to prevent counterfeiting. The printer, Pierre Dumont, was based in Limoges, France.
