This 50 centime note was issued by the Chamber of Commerce of Limoges, dated August 17, 1914. The front of the note features the inscription "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE LIMOGES" in capital letters, followed by the face value "0.50" and "50 CENTIMES". It also includes the mentions "LE PRESIDENT" and "PAR DELEGUATION Vice-Président". The issue date, "17 AOUT 1914", is also indicated on this side.
The back of the note bears the inscription "50 CENTIMES" at the top of the page. The main text specifies that this note is guaranteed by a deposit of an equivalent sum at the Banque de France and that it is exchangeable at the counter of the Limoges branch. It is also stipulated that the note must be presented for reimbursement within five years from the date of issue, under penalty of prescription. The name of the printer, "IMP. P. DUMONT A LIMOGES", also appears on the back.
