This 50-centime note was issued by the Le Mans Chamber of Commerce on March 1, 1917. It belongs to the second series of this local issue. The front of the note features the inscription "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DU MANS" in capital letters, followed by the serial number "534431". The signatures of the Treasurer and the President of the Chamber of Commerce also appear on this side. The face value "50 CENTIMES" is printed in large letters, emphasizing the value of the note.
The back of the note bears the mention "0.50 0.50" repeated, framing the validity period of the note, "1917 - 1922". A text specifies that this voucher is guaranteed by a deposit of an equivalent sum at the Treasury and that it is exchangeable for banknotes at the Banque de France in Le Mans.
