Coin France 50 Centimes Lagriffoul - Marianne - 1962

The 50 Centimes Lagriffoul coin, minted in France in 1962, is a coin with a face value of 50 centimes. It is made of bronze-aluminum, which gives it a specific color and durability. It weighs 7 grams and has a diameter of 25 millimeters.

The obverse of the coin features a bust of the Republic, facing left. The figure is depicted with long hair, flowing in the wind, and wearing a Phrygian cap. The ribbons of the collar are also visible, accentuating the movement of the composition. The engraver's name, LAGRIFFOUL, is inscribed in the field, in front of the Republic's neck, on the left side.

The reverse of the coin highlights the inscription "50 CENTIMES" in two lines, framed by the various symbols of the Mint. This inscription is placed above the year of issue, 1962. The whole is contained within a laurel branch and an ear of wheat, traditional symbols of France. To the left of the laurel branch, you can find the signature of A. DIEUDONNE, also an engraver. The words "LIBERTE - EGALITE - FRATERNITE" are arranged in an arc above the face value.

The edge of the coin is smooth. The coin was minted at the Paris Mint workshop.
