This 50 centime banknote, issued by the Paris Chamber of Commerce, dates from 1920 and is part of the J.56 series. It is distinguished by its geometric patterns framing the essential information.
The front of the banknote features, on the left, a medallion depicting the bust of Minerva, recognizable by her helmet and depicted in three-quarter view, facing right. The words "Chambre de Commerce de Paris" and "Cinquante Centimes" are clearly printed, accompanied by the signatures of the treasurer and the president. The banknote's serial number, here 017.287, is also visible.
The back of the banknote also features a frame with geometric patterns. It contains a statement informing that the banknotes in circulation will be exchangeable for banknotes of the Banque de France until July 1, 1922. The face value, 0.50, is indicated, followed by the mention of the deliberation of the Paris Chamber of Commerce dated March 10, 1920.
It is important to note that this banknote does not have a watermark. Its state of preservation and rarity can influence its numismatic value.
