Description

This 50 cent note, issued by the Chambers of Commerce of Orléans and Blois, dates from May 15, 1921 and represents the second issue. It is printed in Latin script.

On the front, you can read "CHAMBRES DE COMMERCE D'ORLÉANS ET DE BLOIS" at the top of the note, followed by the face value "50 CENT.ES". The mentions "LE PRÉSIDENT DE LA CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE BLOIS" and "LE PRÉSIDENT DE LA CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE D'ORLÉANS" are also present. A serial number, "280.384", is visible, as well as the mention "2me EMISSION 15 mai 1921". The printer's name, "IMP. DU LOIRET ORLEANS", appears at the bottom.

The back of the note features the year "1921" at the top, followed by the mention "SOUS-RÉGION ÉCONOMIQUE D'ORLÉANS". There is also a statement stipulating that the note is guaranteed by a deposit of equal sum in the Treasury and that it is exchangeable for banknotes at the General Treasuries of Orléans and Blois. A warning specifies that the note must be presented for reimbursement within three years from the date of issue, under penalty of prescription.

The note has a watermark representing bees. The printer is Imprimerie du Loiret, located in Orléans, France.
