This 50 centime note was issued by the Chamber of Commerce of Blois and Loir-et-Cher. It is an emergency note dating from October 3, 1916. It belongs to the second issue of this series.
On the front, the mention "2e émission" is visible in the upper left corner. The denomination "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE BLOIS ET DE LOIR ET CHER" is printed in capital letters. The face value, "CINQUANTE CENTIMES", is also clearly highlighted. The signatures of the Treasurer and the President appear on the note. The date of issue, "3 OCTOBRE 1916", is clearly indicated, as well as the serial number, "197 086". The printing company responsible for the production of this note is "L. CASSAN AINÉ TOULOUSE". The redemption deadline was set for October 4, 1918.
The note does not have a watermark. The inscriptions are written in Latin characters.
The back of the note bears the printer's mention, "L. Cassan Ainé, Toulouse, France".
This note is a testimony to the economic history of the Blois and Loir-et-Cher region during the First World War.
