This 50 centime note was issued by the Béziers Chamber of Commerce in 1916. It belongs to series LN 56.22 and bears the number 42.934.
The obverse of the note displays the face value "CINQUANTE CENTIMES" in capital letters. It also features the signatures of the treasurer and the president of the Chamber of Commerce. The face value "0.50" is printed in numbers, accompanied by the series designation "LN 56.22" and the issue number "42.934".
The reverse of the note bears the inscription "DÉLIBÉRATION DE LA CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DU 4 DÉCEMBRE 1916". An important clause stipulates that "CE BILLET DEVRA ÊTRE PRÉSENTÉ AU REMBOURSEMENT AVANT LE 1er OCTOBRE 1919". It specifies that the note is "ÉCHANGEABLE A VUE CONTRE DES BILLETS DE LA BANQUE DE FRANCE". The signature "LP" and the mention "LOUIS PAUL. INV. CADENAT FR. BEZIERS" indicate the artist and the printer responsible for the design and production of the note. Louis Auguste Albert Paul is identified as the designer, while the printing house Cadenat Fr. in Béziers, France, carried out the printing.
The note is written in Latin on both its obverse and reverse.
