This 50 centime note was issued by the Béthune Chamber of Commerce on April 17, 1916, as part of Series 560. The front of the note displays the monogram "CCB" for Béthune Chamber of Commerce.
The front of the note features several inscriptions in French. The face value "0f.50" is prominently displayed, followed by the mention "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE BETHUNE". It also indicates that these coupons are accepted by all public funds in the Béthune district. The value "CINQUANTE CENTIMES" is written in capital letters, accompanied by the signatures of the treasurer and the president. The serial number "Série 560" is also present, as well as a control number "0,420". The name of the printer, "IMP. RICHARD, PARIS", is mentioned at the bottom of the front.
The back of the note contains important information regarding reimbursement. It is stipulated that this voucher must be presented for reimbursement within five years from the signing of the peace. Furthermore, it is specified that at any time, the vouchers can be exchanged for banknotes of the Banque de France in a minimum quantity of Fifty Francs, or by supplementing up to this amount with banknotes or cash.
