Description

This French banknote, with a nominal value of 5 francs, was issued in 1963. It belongs to the H.106 series.

The front of the banknote features a portrait of Victor Hugo on the right. In the background, a representation of the Panthéon is visible. The inscription "5 NF BANQUE DE FRANCE 5 NF" also appears on this side, along with the words "CINQ NOUVEAUX FRANCS". The script used is Latin.

André Marliat is the engraver of this banknote, while Clément Serveau is the designer. The dimensions of the banknote are 140 mm in length and 75 mm in width.

On the back of the banknote, there is another portrait of Victor Hugo, this time positioned on the left. The background represents his apartment located on Place des Vosges.

The weight of this banknote is one gram.
