This 25 centime note was issued by the Chamber of Commerce of La Roche-sur-Yon and Vendée in 1916. It is a voucher, not an official banknote issued by the Bank of France.
The obverse of the note features the face value "0.25 f" repeated twice in the upper corners. The inscription "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE / DE LA ROCHE S/-YON & DE LA VENDÉE" is printed in the center, followed by "Bon de VINGT-CINQ Centimes". The signatures of the President and Treasurer appear below. The mention "FR" is visible in the lower left. The printer is indicated as "IMP. MODERNE, NANTES".
The reverse of the note contains an explanatory text in cursive script. It specifies that the 0.25 franc vouchers issued by the Chamber of Commerce of La Roche-sur-Yon and Vendée will be exchanged for Bank of France banknotes in multiples of twenty. It is also stipulated that their reimbursement is guaranteed by a deposit of equal value at the Bank of France, in the name of the Chamber of Commerce of La Roche-sur-Yon and Vendée. The year of issue, "1916", is mentioned at the bottom.
This note was printed by the Imprimerie Moderne de Nantes (Beuchet & Vanden Brugge). The series to which this note belongs is series A.
