This banknote is a sample of 200 Francs, issued in France between 1992 and 2001. It is an Eiffel type note, dedicated to Maurice Ravel.
The obverse of the note features a portrait of Maurice Ravel, a French composer born in 1875. There is also an image of a violin and a musical note. The inscriptions "ÉCHANTILLON", "000" and "200 ÉCHANTILLON" are printed on this side. The writing used is Latin.
The reverse of the note also has inscriptions in Latin. The dimensions of the note are 143 mm in length and 80 mm in width. The weight of this note is 1 gram.
This banknote has not circulated and was designed for demonstration purposes, which explains the presence of the word "Échantillon" (Sample).
