This banknote is an issue of the city of Saint-Quentin, dated March 27, 1915, and is part of series C. It is a "War Bond" issued by the City of Saint-Quentin.
The face value of the note is 20 francs, printed in bright red. The serial number of this specimen is No. 13.501.
The note bears the inscription "BON DE GUERRE" (War Bond) and specifies that reimbursement is possible "upon presentation to the Municipal Treasury six months after the signing of the peace." A hexagonal cartouche located on the left of the note indicates "SAINT-QUENTIN / B. D. G. / 1915", serving as an authentication stamp.
The signature affixed to the note is that of the "1er ADJOINT FAISANT FONCTIONS DE MAIRE, A. Gibert" (1st Deputy Acting as Mayor, A. Gibert).
The security background of the note is light pink in color, printed with very fine patterns, and the whole is framed by a decorative black border. The main inscriptions are in red and black.
