Description
This 20 Francs commemorative coin was minted in France in 1993. It celebrates Mont Saint-Michel.
The coin is bimetallic. The center is bronze-aluminum colored, while the outer ring is made of cupro-nickel.
It weighs 9 grams and its diameter is 27 millimeters.
The obverse of the coin depicts Mont Saint-Michel dominating the bay. The inscription "RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE" is present, as well as the engraver's name.
The reverse of the coin indicates the face value "20 FRANCS" and the year of issue, "1993". There is also a stylized representation of the French coat of arms, surrounded by a laurel branch and an oak branch. The motto "Liberté Egalité Fraternité" is also inscribed.
This coin was struck in Proof condition. The mintage is 5309 copies.
