Description

The 1981 Marianne 20 centime coin is a French coin. It is struck from an alloy of copper, aluminum, and nickel. It weighs 4 grams and its diameter is 23.5 millimeters. The edge of the coin is smooth.

The obverse of the coin features the left profile of Marianne, an allegorical figure of the French Republic. Marianne is depicted facing the wind, wearing the Phrygian cap, a symbol of freedom.
