The 2 Francs Morlon coin, minted in 1950, is a French coin. It was produced by the issuing institute of Beaumont-Le Roger.
This coin is made of aluminum. It weighs 2.2 grams and has a diameter of 27 millimeters.
The obverse of the coin depicts a bust of the French Republic, facing left. The Republic wears the Phrygian cap, adorned with a cockade, and surrounded by a composite crown of olive, oak, and wheat leaves. The legend "REPUBLIQVE FRANÇAISE" is inscribed in capital letters, and the name of the engraver, "MORLON", also appears. Pierre-Alexandre Morlon is the artist responsible for the design of this side.
On the reverse of the coin, two cornucopias are visible. The face value, "2 FRANCS", is clearly indicated. The republican motto "LIBERTE-EGALITE-FRATERNITE" is also present. The year of minting, "1950", appears on this side of the coin. As with the obverse, the engraver is Pierre-Alexandre Morlon.
The edge of the coin is smooth. The mint is identified by the letter "B", which corresponds to Beaumont-le-Roger, in France.
