The 1936 Morlon 2 Francs coin is a French coin. It has a nominal value of 2 francs and is made from an alloy of copper and aluminum. It weighs 8 grams and has a diameter of 27 millimeters.
The obverse of the coin features a bust of the Republic facing left. The figure wears a Phrygian cap, adorned with a rosette, all surmounted by a composite crown. This crown is composed of symbols of olive, oak and wheat. The legend "REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE" is inscribed in capital letters, and the signature "MORLON" indicates the name of the engraver, Pierre-Alexandre Morlon.
The reverse of the coin features two cornucopias, symbols of prosperity and wealth. The face value, "2 FRANCS", is clearly indicated. The words "LIBERTE-EGALITE-FRATERNITE", motto of the French Republic, are also present. The year of issue, 1936, appears at the bottom of the coin.
The edge of the coin is smooth.
