This 2 franc note, issued by the Amiens Chamber of Commerce, dates from 1914 and belongs to series S.1, reference P.7-3. It is a type of product classified as an emergency banknote, issued in France during the First World War.
The obverse of the note features several inscriptions in Latin. The inscription "VILLE D'AMIENS" is at the top, followed by "BANQUE DUVETTE". The face value, "DEUX FRANCS", is clearly indicated. The issue date, "15 Septembre 1914", is also mentioned, as is the mention "Les Délégués de la Chambre de Commerce". The printer's name, "IMP. DU PROGRES", appears at the bottom.
The reverse of the note is simpler, with the face value "2" repeated several times, arranged symmetrically. We observe the presence of "2 | 2" in the upper left and lower right corners, as well as a simple "2" in the center.
This banknote does not have a watermark. It was printed by the Imprimerie du Progrès de la Somme.
