The 2 franc note issued by the Nancy Chamber of Commerce, dated November 11, 1918, represents a form of emergency currency issued in a particular economic context. This note belongs to Series A.
The obverse of the note features the words "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE NANCY" in capital letters, followed by the face value "DEUX FRANCS". The series and number of the note, here "Série A N°124.620", are also printed on this side. The script used is Latin.
The reverse of the note contains important information regarding its validity and exchangeability. It reads that "All vouchers from the Nancy Chamber of Commerce are exchangeable for banknotes from the Bank of France, until December 31, 1920." It is also specified that "No further reimbursement may be demanded." The date of issue, "November 11, 1918", also appears on this side. The printer responsible for the production of this note is mentioned as "IMPRIMERIES RÉUNIES DE NANCY". As with the obverse, the script used is Latin.
This note does not have a watermark. The "Imprimeries Réunies de Nancy, France" are the origin of its printing.
