This French banknote, with a face value of 100 francs, was issued on September 28, 1939, and bears the serial number S.1625.
On the obverse, the note features a bust of a laurel-crowned woman, an allegorical personification of France. She holds a staff in her right hand, a symbol of command, while with her left hand, she picks fruits and flowers offered by a child, representing Youth. In the background, an aerial view of Paris reveals Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Seine, emblematic elements of the French urban landscape. The inscriptions "100 BANQUE DE FRANCE 100" and "CENT FRANCS" are also present, indicating the note's value. The writing used is Latin. Ernest Deloche is credited as the engraver, and Lucien Hector Jonas as the designer.
The reverse of the note depicts Sully, shown on the right holding a parchment. A picturesque pasture landscape serves as the backdrop for this representation. The note measures 180 mm in length and 92 mm in width.
