This French banknote has a face value of 100 francs. It was issued in 1939.
The front of the banknote features a bust of a laureate woman, personifying the allegory of France. She holds a staff of command in her right hand. With her left hand, she picks fruits and flowers held out by a child, a symbol of Youth. In the background, an aerial view of Paris reveals Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Seine winding through the city. The inscription "100 BANQUE DE FRANCE 100 CENT FRANCS" is visible.
On the back, Sully is depicted on the right, holding a parchment. A picturesque rural landscape serves as the backdrop for this scene. The inscription "100 BANQUE DE FRANCE 100 CENT FRANCS" is also present.
The inscriptions on the banknote are in Latin script. Ernest Deloche is credited as the engraver, while Lucien Hector Jonas is identified as the designer.
