This French banknote, with a nominal value of 100 francs, was issued on February 22, 1940. It belongs to series C.7880. Its dimensions are 180 mm in length and 92 mm in width.
The front of the note features a bust of a laurel-crowned woman, an allegory of France. She holds the staff of command in her right hand. With her left hand, she picks fruits and flowers presented by a child, representing Youth. In the background, an aerial view of Paris reveals Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Seine. The inscriptions "100 BANQUE DE FRANCE 100" and "CENT FRANCS" are also present. The script used is Latin. Ernest Deloche is the engraver of this face, while Lucien Hector Jonas is the designer.
On the back, we see Sully on the right holding a parchment. A picturesque pasture landscape serves as a backdrop to this representation.
