The front of the banknote features a bust of a laurel-crowned woman, an allegory of France. She holds the staff of command in her right hand. With her left hand, she picks fruits and flowers offered to her by a child, a symbol of Youth. In the background, an aerial view of Paris is depicted, where Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Seine can be distinguished.
The writing used on the banknote is Latin. It features the inscription "100 BANQUE DE FRANCE 100" as well as the mention "CENT FRANCS".
Ernest Deloche is the engraver of this banknote, while Lucien Hector Jonas is the designer.
On the back, you can see Sully on the right holding a parchment. A picturesque pasture landscape serves as a backdrop.
