This French banknote has a face value of 100 francs. It was issued on February 20, 1941, and is part of the E.19400 series.
The front of the banknote features a bust of a laureate woman, an allegory of France. She holds the baton of command in her right hand. With her left hand, she picks fruits and flowers offered to her by a child, a symbol of Youth. In the background, an aerial view of Paris is depicted, where Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Seine can be distinguished.
The writing used on the banknote is Latin. The inscription "100 BANQUE DE FRANCE 100" and the mention "CENT FRANCS" can be found on it.
Ernest Deloche is the engraver of this banknote, while Lucien Hector Jonas is the designer.
On the back, Sully can be seen on the right holding a parchment. A picturesque grazing landscape serves as the backdrop.
The dimensions of the banknote are 180 mm in length and 92 mm in width.
