Description

This French banknote, with a face value of 100 francs, was issued in 1940. It belongs to series G.14339. Its dimensions are 180 mm in length and 92 mm in width.

The front of the note features a bust of a laureate woman, symbolizing the allegory of France. In her right hand, she holds the baton of command, while in her left hand, she picks fruits and flowers offered by a child, representing the allegory of Youth. In the background, an aerial view of Paris reveals Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Seine. The writing used is Latin. The inscription "100 BANQUE DE FRANCE 100 CENT FRANCS" is also present. Ernest Deloche is the engraver of this part of the note, while Lucien Hector Jonas is the designer.

The back of the note depicts Sully, represented on the right holding a parchment. A picturesque grazing landscape serves as the backdrop to this representation.
