This 100 Francs banknote, Sully type, was issued on February 6, 1941. It belongs to the A.19153 series and was manufactured in France.
The front of the banknote features a bust of a laureate woman, symbolizing France. She holds the baton of command in her right hand, while with her left hand, she picks fruits and flowers presented by a child, an allegory of Youth. In the background, an aerial view of Paris reveals iconic monuments such as Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Seine, structuring elements of the urban landscape. The language used for the inscriptions is Latin. It reads "100 BANQUE DE FRANCE 100 CENT FRANCS". Ernest Deloche is credited as the engraver and Lucien Hector Jonas as the designer.
The back of the banknote depicts Sully on the right, holding a parchment. A picturesque pasture landscape serves as the backdrop for this representation. The banknote's dimensions are 180 mm in length and 92 mm in width.
