The 10 new franc banknote, Richelieu type, was issued on April 6, 1961. It belongs to series R.175.
On the obverse, the portrait of Cardinal Richelieu is highlighted. In the background, you can see the Palais Royal. The face value, "10 NF", is written in numerals in the upper corners and in words at the bottom, in the center. The mention "Banque de France" appears at the top, while the signatures are affixed at the bottom.
The reverse features a view of the Palais Royal. The face value is repeated symmetrically with respect to the obverse. Legal notices and the printer's identification are also present.
This banknote was printed by the Banque de France. Its dominant color is blue and polychrome.
It is important to note that this banknote was demonetized on April 1, 1968.
