Roty" and the other with the signature preceded by "D'AP".
The reverse of the coin features an olive branch placed under the face value "1/2 FRANC". The national motto "LIBERTE, EGALITE, FRATERNITE" encircles this ensemble. The year of issue, 1989, also appears on this side. Louis-Oscar Roty is credited as the engraver of this side of the coin.
