This 1 Franc coin, minted in 1922, was issued by the Chamber of Commerce of Évreux in France. It is composed of a copper and aluminum alloy.
The obverse of the coin depicts a sower standing in front of a rising sun. The inscription "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE" is inscribed in an arc above the scene, while the name "EVREUX" is mentioned on either side of the sower. The name of the engraver, "THEVENON", also appears on this face.
The reverse of the coin displays the face value "1 FRANC" in the center, accompanied by the year of issue "1922". These elements are surrounded by a circle, which is itself encircled by the legend "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE · EVREUX ·".
The edge of the coin is smooth.
Weighing 7.67 grams and with a diameter of 27 millimeters, this coin was minted at the workshop of Thévenon & Co. in Paris, which is currently known as Gercy.
It is important to note that this coin is an issue of the Chamber of Commerce, which distinguishes it from the common coins issued by the State.
