This 1 Franc banknote, issued by the Chamber of Commerce of Rochefort-sur-Mer, dates from October 28, 1915. It belongs to the third series of banknotes issued by this chamber of commerce.
On the front, the mention "3ème SERIE" (3rd SERIES) is clearly indicated at the top. One can read "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE ROCHEFORT-SUR-MER" as well as the reference to the deliberation of October 28, 1915. The nominal value, "1 FRANC", is also clearly visible. The signatures of the Treasurer and the President appear on the banknote, accompanied by the serial number "412306". The printer's name, "IMP KELLER FRERES ANGOULÊME", is mentioned at the bottom.
On the back, the mention "3ème SERIE" (3rd SERIES) is found at the top. The text specifies that the banknote must be presented for reimbursement before December 31, 1920, under penalty of prescription. The nominal value "1 FRANC" is also repeated on the back.
