This 1 franc banknote was issued by the Paris Chamber of Commerce on March 10, 1920. It belongs to the S.F78 series and bears the number 0.018.491.
The obverse of the note features a central frame adorned with geometric motifs. A medallion is visible on the right, representing the bust of a helmeted Minerva, facing left and seen from three-quarters. The inscriptions "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE PARIS" and "UN FRANC" are present, as well as the signatures of the treasurer and the president.
The reverse of the note features a front and back representation of a 1 franc Sower coin dated 1919, surrounded by geometric motifs. It also contains the text "DELIBERATION DE LA CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE PARIS EN DATE DU 10 MARS 1920" as well as the mention "LES BILLETS EN CIRCULATION SERONT ÉCHANGEABLES CONTRE DES BILLETS DE LA BANQUE DE FRANCE JUSQU'AU 1er JUILLET 1922". The abbreviation "CPC" is also visible.
The banknote does not have a watermark. It testifies to a period when Chambers of Commerce were authorized to issue currency of necessity due to the economic circumstances of the time.
