This French banknote with a face value of one franc was issued by the Paris Chamber of Commerce on March 10, 1920. It belongs to series A.19.
The front of the banknote features ornamental plant motifs, with a winged caduceus integrated into a medallion on the left. On the right, in another medallion, is the head of Mercury. The inscriptions in Latin characters include the mention "CHAMBRE de COMMERCE de PARIS" at the top of the banknote. In the center, one can read "UN FRANC". The serial number "A.30 013.457" is printed in red, framed by the number "1" repeated on each side. The signature "G. FRAIPONT IMP CHAIX PARIS" indicates the name of the designer and the printing house.
The back of the banknote offers a view of the Île de la Cité. A medallion surrounded by plant motifs, containing a representation of a ship, is visible on the left. The main inscription indicates the exchange conditions of the banknotes: "LES BILLETS EN CIRCULATION SERONT ECHANGEABLES CONTRE DES BILLETS DE LA BANQUE DE FRANCE JUSQU'AU 1er JUILLET 1922 (DELIBERATION DE LA CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE PARIS EN DATE DU 10 MARS 1920)".
