This 1 Franc banknote was issued by the Chamber of Commerce of Lorient (Morbihan) on December 14, 1921. It belongs to Series F and bears the number 319699.
On the front, the banknote features a frame decorated with geometric and plant motifs. There is a heraldic shield in each corner, as well as a similar shield on the upper part. On either side of a crowned ermine spot, two other heraldic shields are present. The face value, "UN FRANC", is highlighted. The signatures of the President and Vice-Presidents of the Chamber of Commerce of Lorient also appear on the front. The inscription "OBERTHUR - RENNES" indicates the printer.
The back of the banknote features a frame with plant motifs. The text specifies that the vouchers issued by the Chamber of Commerce of Lorient will be exchanged for banknotes from the Banque de France in multiples of twenty. It is also indicated that their reimbursement is guaranteed by a deposit of equal value at the Banque de France, in the name of the Chamber of Commerce of Lorient.
The banknote does not have a watermark. The printer is Oberthur (Oberthur Fiduciaire; F. C. Oberthur).
