Banknote France 1 Franc - Chambre de commerce de Lorient - 1920 - Série D

This 50 centime note was issued by the Lorient Chamber of Commerce (Morbihan) on April 30, 1920. It belongs to Series D and bears the number 400.128.

On the obverse, the note features a central oval framed by geometric and plant motifs. A heraldic shield can be seen in each corner and on the upper part. On either side of a crowned ermine spot, there are two other heraldic shields. The inscriptions mention the issuing institution "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE LORIENT (MORBIHAN)", the date of issue "ÉMISSION DU 30 avril 1920", the face value "BON DE 50 CENTIMES", and the series "Série D". The signature of the President of the Lorient Chamber of Commerce and those of the Vice-Presidents are also present. The printer's name "OBERTHUR - RENNES" appears at the bottom.

The reverse of the note features a central oval framed by plant motifs. The face value "0.50f" is repeated several times. A text specifies that the notes issued by the Lorient Chamber of Commerce will be exchanged for Bank of France notes in multiples of twenty. It is also stipulated that their reimbursement is guaranteed by a deposit of equal value at the Bank of France, in the name of the Lorient Chamber of Commerce.
