This 1 Franc banknote, issued by the Châteauroux Chamber of Commerce, dates from the year 1920.
On the front, there is the inscription "1920" followed by the date "May 10" and a serial number "96459". The mention "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE CHATEAUROUX" is clearly indicated, accompanied by the face value "UN FRANC". The signatures of the Treasurer and the President are present. The inscription "IMP BADEL CHATEAUROUX" indicates the printer responsible for creating the banknote.
The back of the banknote bears the inscription "The counter-value is deposited in the treasury". We can also read "Reimbursement will take place at the public funds of Indre", specifying the place of reimbursement. A validity date is mentioned: "This ticket is valid until May 10, 1925".
The watermark of the banknote represents bees. The printer, Imprimerie Badel, is located in Châteauroux, France.
