This 1 Franc banknote was issued by the Limoges Chamber of Commerce on August 17, 1914. It belongs to Series E and bears the identification number 16386.
The obverse of the banknote features the inscriptions "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE LIMOGES" at the top, followed by the serial number "16386" and the mention "Série E". The face value "UN FRANC" is indicated in capital letters. The signatures of the President and Treasurer of the Chamber of Commerce also appear on this side. The date of issue, "17 AOUT 1914", is printed at the bottom.
The reverse of the banknote contains an inscription stating that this banknote is guaranteed by a deposit of an equivalent sum at the Banque de France. It is exchangeable at the counters of the Tulle and Brive branches of the Banque de France. It is also mentioned that the banknote must be presented for redemption within five years from the date of issue, under penalty of prescription. The name of the printer, "IMP P DUMONT LIMOGES", is indicated at the bottom.
