This 1 Franc banknote, issued by the Chamber of Commerce of Grenoble in 1917, represents a testimony of French local economic history during this period.
The banknote is distinguished by the absence of a watermark. It displays a color palette including green, yellow, blue, and red. Two medallions adorn the right and left sides of the banknote, each containing a coat of arms. The overall printing is done in blue and yellow.
Two signatures appear on the banknote, authenticating its issue. A black serial number is also present. The mention "Gds Etablissements de l'imprimerie générale - Grenoble" is inscribed in the center, in the lower part of the banknote.
At the top, on the left, we can read "BAYARD", while "LESDIGUIERE" is mentioned on the right side. At the bottom right, the names "FARCY. Del." and "COQUAND. Sc" are printed, accompanied by the location "Grenoble ISÈRE".
The series of this banknote is Series 63.
