This 1 franc banknote was issued in 1915 by the Amiens Chamber of Commerce. It bears the serial number N 0 829 762 and features inscriptions in Latin.
The obverse of the banknote prominently displays the denomination "1 FRANC", accompanied by the mention "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE D'AMIENS". The nominal value "UN" is repeated twice, framing the number "1". The printer's name, "IMP. PROGRÉS DE LA SOMME", is also present.
The reverse of the banknote provides additional information regarding its issue and validity. It states that the issue is guaranteed by a deposit of an equivalent sum at the Banque de France. It specifies that the banknote is exchangeable on sight, in sums of at least five francs, at the Banque Duvette in Amiens. A redemption deadline, set for November 5, 1920, is stipulated, after which the banknote would be subject to prescription.
An important note indicates that this banknote is valid within the district of the Amiens Chamber of Commerce, including the cities of Amiens, Doullens, and Montdidier.
The banknote does not have a watermark. It was printed by the Imprimerie du Progrès de la Somme.
