Description

The reverse of the coin depicts an imperial eagle. The legend "EMPIRE FRANÇAIS" is inscribed in an arc above the eagle. Below, the face value "* UN CENTIME *" is found, framed by stars. The letter "A" indicates the mint, which is Strasbourg. Jacques-Jean Barre is also the engraver of the reverse.
The edge of the coin is smooth. The Strasbourg mint is identified by the letters "BB".
